Question by deonmj74: there is a story of a man in jacksonville florida who did in deed invent an operable magnetic engine.converted
this concept was adapted to a 7 hp lawn mower engine. his concept was put on the market and disney and the japanese were interested in it. this man ended up slit from gut to throat for refusal to sell to a certain american company. in the end, the japanese have possesed the art of operable magnetic engine since the 80″s. this is only one concept of a magnetic engine. there is another and it will one day be in action. until then i will research and absorb all i hear about magnetics.

Q&A: Are there warnings for nuclear power plant leaks or meltdowns? What do you do if a warning is issued?

December 15th, 2011

Question by : Are there warnings for nuclear power plant leaks or meltdowns? What do you do if a warning is issued?
Do areas around nuclear power plants get some kind of warning if there is a leak or possibility of a meltdown? You know, kind of like when we get tornado warnings for tornadoes. What do you do if a warning is issued? I’m pretty sure there are warnings, because warnings sirens are installed around nuclear plants, but im not positive.

Answer by Todd
Yes, there are provisions in place for such an event (at least in the US). Notification may be made by reverse 911 calls, siren, local media, or by NOAA All Hazards Radio. When there is a problem, the local authority(s) having jurisdiction over the incident will advise you of the proper actions to take, such evacuating, or sheltering in place. If you are evacuated, they will likely have you go to predesignated facilities for this.

Q&A: Are there any hydrogen powered cars on the market?

June 25th, 2011

Question by casey: Are there any hydrogen powered cars on the market?
If yes what are they? What about natural gas powered cars, where do you refill them? Are hydrogen and fuel cell cars the same thing?

Best answer:

Answer by Spike
The Honda FCX Clarity is the first production vehicle to run on hydrogen and is being released first to the market in California and then later on in Japan.

Film producer Ron Yerxa will take delivery of the first FCX Clarity in July. Other notable customers include the likes of Jamie Lee Curtis. See the website for more info.

Not sure about natural gas powered cars, but hydrogen powered and fuel cell is the same thing and you refuel them at special refueling stations that will be in the same area as the cars that are being sold.

I’m not sure if that means if you buy one you can’t stray too far from home for now…

WIND TURBINES
by Theo R

Question by Meft: Is there a company that makes and sells wind turbines coupled with a hydrogen generator preferably in Europe?
I am trying to find out if there is a system (for sale) that delivers electricity from a wind turbine, and when there is no electric consumption another device creates hydrogen (through electrolysis). The hydrogen is stored and used later on for periods when there is not enough wind… The extra extra electricity can be “dumped” in the national grid after the tank is full. The system is for 2 3 houses max, there is enough space, and the area is suitable for wind turbines. Thanks.

I have not heard of one yet, but there may be some in the design stages. There are so many possibilities when you take a look at alternative energy. The technology just needs to be developed.

Just because the containment cap has stopped the oil gushing from the wellhead does not mean that oil is not gushing from the wellbore and casing under the sea floor. Is all of this media hullabaloo about the success of the containment cap just false hope?

Best answer:

Answer by JoyfulNoise
The only thing I’d be excited about is if they finally came to their senses and let others from countries who have had leaks such as this one come over and help get this disaster fixed.

Is there enough uranium for the USA to power itself by nuclear fission only?

November 18th, 2010

Question by louis: Is there enough uranium for the USA to power itself by nuclear fission only?
If the USA wanted to, is there enough uranium in the US or in the world — such that the USA can generate all the electricity it needs by using nuclear fission power plants?

What about nuclear fusion… what fuel source would fusion use?

Best answer:

Answer by Godless Heathen
Easily. I always thought nuclear fission would be the best way for the United States to escape it’s dependency on foreign oil, using electric cars and such. But Three Mile Island and Chernobyl have soured the public’s opinion on nuclear fission.

Nuclear fusion uses only pure hydrogen as it fuses two hydrogen atoms into a helium atom (thus the name fusion), creating nearly limitless quantities of energy.

when I was younger, I used to think that Nuclear Power Plants used nuclear material to collect electrons, but now I know that it’s only the heat given off that creates steam which turns a turbine.
HOW LAME!

Why can’t we use nuclear material to create electricity directly?
Or maybe even replace electrons altogehter.. replace the electrons with some other charged particle that repells objects similar to magnatism, maybe then we will no longer need copper wire???? If we could find an alternative to electrons and have repulsion properties, we could re-invent the electric motor, make it so that it works directly from nuclear material??
Guys! go see

if we can use an ATOMIC BATTERY then why can’t we make a lifter with an onboard energy supply?

Are there weekday rates and weekend rates when using electricity in your home?

July 27th, 2010

Someone posted a question on the message board asking how to conserve and be more efficent in the use of their washing machine at home… several people responded saying to use it only during non peak hours (early morning and weekend mornings) due to businesses being closed and the rates are cheaper… regarding the rates being cheaper – is this true?
If you do have peak rates can you indicate where you live and what company you have? I live in Virginia (Northern) and have Dominion Virginia Power.

Is there a conspiracy at the highest level to get Obama elected?

July 23rd, 2010

Lurking behind the scenes of the American taxpayer, is a force of elitists hellbent on changing the course of history: a conspiracy to elect a President.

A bad economy is bad news for Mccain and Republicans.

In 2004 this elitist group met behind closed doors. They decided that the only way to creat societal change in America was to hit Americans where it counts: in the pocketbooks. And the only way to do this, was to center on the American dream of home ownership. Prices were aritically driven up by allowing banks to approve and Tom, Dick, or Harry for a mortgage. And Americans did what they do best: buy, buy, buy. In fact, they bought until they couldn’t afford it anymore.

In alliance with the housing sector, prices were aritifically driven up for for oil, as middle east nations saw their chance to influence the election and put someone else into office besides a republican. The world loves Obama, and they could easily influence our supply and demand for oil by raising prices. They knew that Americans had to have their homes, no matter the cost, so this was the perfect vehicle for their plan.

This elitist group has tanked our economy and now housing feels more like a prison for many American families. But Obama will have their vote, because they will have no other option but for change.

The 21st century Civil War is happening, but not on the battlefields of Antietam and Gettysburg. It’s happening financially in the home of every American. Come November, the only choice president’s will be for 1. Barack Obama………..or 2. Financial Ruin.

Make sure you choose correct, the future of our livlihoods lives in the balance.

there are lots of hydrogen generators on the internet.. do they work. what are the pros and cons?

July 22nd, 2010

they all over heat and make mostly steam. most have no control of power used. as it gets hotter it pulls more power, as it pulls more power it gets hotter and snow balls out of control. when amps get over 30 the strain on the alterator costs you gas to run it. it cant work with these problems.
