Crude oil is past the half gone stage and we still carry on like we always have. There is Hybrids, Hydrogen, electric and alternative fuels, but we seem to be to comfortable with something we will never, I mean never, be able to replace or repair the effects of.
Wind power for Montana consumers? In last five years, not much new
HELENA – In the five years since Montana customers of NorthWestern Energy started getting power from the state’s first major wind farm, at Judith Gap, development of wind power for consumption by Mont
I know that “BP” owns the brand “Castrol”. With everything thats been going on(oil spill), I was wondering how that would affect their products such as catrol motor oils?
Since BP has to now spend millions to try and clean up their mess, will this mean the quality of their products such as catrol motor oil go down? I used to use catrol edge all the time for my car but since the oil spill, i dont know if castrol is still the same quality.
My home is all electric and the rates just keep going up, up, and up,
I paid $340 for Jan – Feb this year and froze my tail off keeping it that
low. If I install solar panels, will it cost me less then what I’m paying
for electric? If you’re currently using solar panels can you tell me what
the pluses and minus’s are for going this route.
I have to write a bill in class and I want to know how much money it would cost for a city to run on wind and solar panels. It doesn’t have to be a specific amount. . .
I’m curious what the average household spends to install solar panels in California. Also for those of you that have installed them, how much would you say you saved in the first year? The second?
It seems to me that many of the same parts and systems that go into the current line of American gas-only and less efficient cars, would go into newer hybrids, more efficient, or even all electric cars. But I don’t work in a car factory. So I’m just curious. Do the Big 3 auto makers really have to retool from the ground up to evolve and adapt to today’s current market and consumer need for fuel-efficient or alternate energy vehicles? About what percentage of their factories need to be overhauled and retooled to get to where they need to be and become competitive again? What’s that going to cost and how long will it take?
My understanding is that the earth’s molten lava is several miles within it’s crust and it takes a lot of energy to drill that deep to it? Clear me up on this. Thanks
