Stanley MEYER – Water Fuel Cell Part 4

www.hydrowaterpower.com www.hydrowaterpower.com Molecular Dissociation of Water: A Project for the Experimenter by Dan Danforth In the original setup that Stan Meyer showed us, he used 36 volts as the basic potential applied to the reaction chamber. He also commented that stainless steel ( 410 not 403 ) was the only metal that could be used as oxides formed with all others. His original chamber used 18 inch long by 0.375 inch diameter (od) rod surrounded by 1 inch diameter (id) 16 inch long pipe. The reason for the difference in length is for mechanical ease of construction. My prototype used 14 inch long rod and 12 inch long pipe of similar diameters as the drawing indicates. Having a severe lack of parts diversity here in Sri-Lanka, I was only able to obtain a 24 volt. 8 amp transformer and built my circuitry around that. The final output is 20 volts with Ml reading 10 amps to the pulsing circuit which generates a symetricel squarewave ( 50% duty cycle ) to the flyback inductor connected in series with the chamber as the schematic shows. The flyback high voltage spike is directed across the chamber via c* end d*. The use of a high voltage spike alone, without the current being delivered through the liquid, will not cause the disassociation to take place. This I verified using an ignition coil in place of the inductor and applied the secondary with halfwave rectification and blocking capacitor to prevent burn out to the chamber with no results. Apparently the current in

What happens to the byproduct of hydrogen fuel cells in a space craft?

October 30th, 2011

Question by Joshua Cloud: What happens to the byproduct of hydrogen fuel cells in a space craft?
I have a project on hydrogen fuel cells and read that they use them in american space crafts. But i was wondering where does the water go and what happens to it?

Best answer:

Answer by Bill
its exhuast, it cant be re collected, at least not 100 percent

a rocket engine runs on liquid oxygen, and hydrogen gas, when the burn its like burning gasoline but stronger and it has no carbon. its an external combustion engine though, that means all the reaction takes place outside the engine, or that the energy is vented straight out of the engine

so all exhuast is just left, they could use some type of collector i suppose to reclaim the water, but it wouldnt be efficent

October 15th, 2011

Question by Jojo J: Some current forms of alternative automotive fuel energies that are used include biodiesel, ethanol, hydrogen,?
Some current forms of alternative automotive fuel energies that are used include biodiesel, ethanol, hydrogen, and electricity (in hybrid autos). Define each form and discuss which one(or another form of energy) that you think will have the best chance to become the next standard form of automobile fuel energy when petroleum becomes too scarce and/or too expensive. Be sure to provide reasons to back up your choice.

How Hydrogen Fuel Cell Cars Can Give You the Gas Mileage Improvements Part 1

October 14th, 2011

www.hydrowaterpower.com www.hydrowaterpower.com Gas prices may have dropped by a couple of cents over the last few days but with the current trends you can bet that it won’t be long before they go up yet again. The days of cheap oil and gasoline are sadly a thing of the past. So if you have any sense you should still be looking for ways to make gas mileage improvements on your vehicles by any means that you can. Along with the latest and most promising ways to improve gas mileage and get more mpg are the hydrogen fuel cell cars. Hydrogen fuel cell cars are just standard cars that have been converted to use water as a supplement to ordinary gasoline. This is achieved with the use of a DIY hydrogen fuel cell or (Homemade Hydrogen generator), a small device that provides HHO gas. This HHO gas is then mixed with the ordinary gasoline + air mixture in your cars engine. As this mixture of gases burns with a lot more efficiency and power it gives you fantastic gas mileage improvements. (Notice that I said “supplement” as there are some claims out there that suggest you can run your cars on water alone, which is ridiculous) Croatia, Zagreb, Grafton, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, Spain, Madrid, Sri Lanka, Colombo, Taiwan, Taipei, Switzerland, Bern, Suriname, Paramaribo, Clearwater Florida USA, Blue Mountains, Australia www.hydrowaterpower.com www.hydrowaterpower.com

Q&A: How will hydrogen be manufactured and made available for fuel cell powered cars like the GM Sequel?

Question by joem852: How will hydrogen be manufactured and made available for fuel cell powered cars like the GM Sequel?
Would like to know the manufacturing process and energy source – solar, wind. Interested in the associated economics and the timing for the US and world to be able to completely convert from gasoline to hydrogen powered cars.

Best answer:

Answer by Cazort
Hydrogen as a fuel source is created as energy is stored in a fuel cell, like a battery. It is created by electrolysis of water–running an electrical current through water in order to separate it into hydrogen and oxygen. These are then later recombined to release energy. It’s much like a battery.

Conceivably, you could use any electrical power source to create the hydrogen. If you used fossil fuels, it would actually be worse than using them directly, because there is about a 30% efficiency in converting fossil fuels to electricity, but still only about a 40% efficiency in converting hydrogen fuel to energy…so you’d lose a lot and it would be better to just burn the fossil fuels. If you’re powering it from solar, though, it would be cleaner…but less energy efficient.

In terms of long-term energy impact, things like fuel cell powered cars won’t really make much of a difference at all. The big difference comes in reduction of energy uses–lighter vehicles like sedans instead of SUV’s, more fuel-efficient vehicles, people using public transportation like buses and rails more…etc. These things will have a much bigger impact on the environment than just moving over our energy source.

Question by Jose: Hydrogen fuel cells have been considered an alternative for a clean source of energy. In a fuel cell, hydrogen?
Hydrogen fuel cells have been considered an alternative for a clean source of energy. In a fuel cell, hydrogen reacts with oxygen to produce water, and at the same time, it releases a great deal of energy. Write an essay that addresses the chemical reaction of hydrogen fuel cells, the energy that is available from this reaction, and whether this type of alternative fuel is feasible. Be complete and use examples to support your statements

Question by Vitki: What is the specific impulse and fuel consumption of the VASIMR engine?

Best answer:

Answer by ronwizfr
This paper http://www.adastrarocket.com/TimSTAIF2005.pdf quotes 5,000-12,000s for the specific impulse, but I remember also having seen values that were in the 20,000s and more.

Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variable_Specific_Impulse_Magnetoplasma_Rocket quotes 0.5 N for the thrust, a number I found in a lot of places, but that seems pretty low

Hydrogen Generator Saves 20% – 90% Fuel and Increases Power

December 15th, 2010

Gorilla Developers has been working on creating a method of extracting Hydrogen from water and an electrolyte solution. This has now … all » been achieved. See the video to understand the incredible volume of Hydrogen being extracted. How is this achieved? Using 30 amps from your alternator on standard vehicles for the 20-Cell electrolyzer we weave this energy Through an over 40 stainless steel plates which extract the Hydrogen necessary to aid in increased fuel combustion efficiency. What does this mean to me? Your vehicle will have substantially increased fuel combustion. [Most vehiclesonly burn less than 50% of the fuel injected into your cylinder because of a lack of Oxygen and Hydrogen] The lower your mileage directly relates to the lack of your engines efficiency. Increasing the efficiency of the burn provides a requirement of less fuel [less pedal being required to achieve/maintain speed.] Visit our web site and register today. www.GetHydroPower.com We seek local sales staff and installation locations.
